You might not notice by looking at this simple Chicago-themed Air jordan 8, but it’s not an original colorway of Mike’s unique dual-strapped eighth signature model. Only three colorways made up the original 1993 release slate of the AJ8 ranging from the Bugs Bunny-inspiration, the lauded Aqua theme, and a Playoff variation.
Times were simpler back then, before the days of the infinite colorways hitting the release slate and trickling down to the sales section. That’s what we love about Jordan Brand’s ongoing “Alternate Collection” – they’ve been creating colorways that Mike could’ve worn on-court with the Air Jordan 2, Air Jordan 4, and Air Jordan 5 Low. This will hit retailers on February 25th, 2017 rounding out a fairly busy schedule for Jordan Brand’s February 2017.
